The way that my obsession with Japan changed the interior of my house

Last year I went for holidays to Japan. I really enjoyed it! I have had there best days of my life. When I came back, Japan was in my mind all the time. I fell in love with its culture, style and everything connected with this country. I started to read Japanese books, cooking Japanese meals and getting more and more familiar with Japanese culture. I am aware that it can sound a little weird but I couldn’t help it. If I just could, I would probably move to Japan. Unluckily, for various commitments, I just couldn’t. Thus, I was doing my best to surround myself with as many Japanese objects as possible.

Lots of my friends were aware of my Japanese obsession. I need to admit they were very understanding about it. They were regularly going out with me for sushi but there was hardly anything else they was able to do for me. At least I believed that. But then one day my friend told me about oriental wallpaper he saw in a shop. At the beginning I didn’t know what oriental wallpaper means but I went with my friend to that shop to check it up. At the moment I saw this I just knew it was perfect for me. That was truly amazing. What my friend showed me was a wallpaper with beautiful patterns on it. However, that was not some cliché patterns For instance, on the flowers wallpaper I have seen cherry blossom. I Believe you are aware that cherry blossom is widely known a symbol of Japan. Thus, I am conviced that you can imagine how content I was when I noticed this! Among many other wallpapers, I have chosen also 1 more oriental wallpaper, with Japanese landscape that I was missing so tremendously. I know it sounds amazing that I managed to find exactly what I was looking for. But believe me – new kind of wallpapers have almost each pattern you can look for. And even if not, you could create your own wallpaper that will have pattern you want! I not only purchased two wallpapers I saw, but also ordered 2 more which I wanted to see in my house.

As a result of this, walls in my room make me feel like I live in Japan. That is so much better than just plain, boring walls I used to have in my apartment earlier. So, if you are obsessed with anything so badly as I was obsessed with Japan, I would suggest to use wallpapers! It can enable you fill your apartment with the atmosphere of the place you are missing – Demur.
