'KIVETON SHOCK THE LEADERS'

Unfit pitches meant only nine matches took place and one produced one of the shocks of the season, with Stadium Services Supreme Division leaders, Dunkirk, going down to their first home defeat of the season against mid table, Kiveton Park, 4-3.

The visitors having no respect for the Nottinghamshire club, took the lead with an early goal and deservedly lead 3-1 at half time, Kiveton added another goal, after the interval to lead 4-1, Dunkirk threw everything at their opponents and scored twice but resolute defending held the leaders at bay and the visitors chalked up a well merited victory.
Mark Nangle (2) and an own goal for Dunkirk. Nicholas Bracey, Jonathan Gravelle, James Radford and Andrew Wellwood the Kiveton scorers.

Despite this defeat Dunkirk remain five points in front of second placed Pelican and have two games in hand.
A six goal thriller at Greenwood Meadows, the home team fighting back from 3-1 down, to earn a share of the points with visitors Gedling Miners Welfare, the final score 3-3.

Ben Smith gave Gedling an early lead and Matt Nowak doubled the advantage, Greenwood pulled a goal back prior to the interval through Adrian Beech, but then found themselves 3-1 behind, after half time, through a goal by Chris Hudson.

The home team made it 3-2 with a goal by Justin Evans and deservedly equalised in the last minute, when Adrian Beech scored his second goal of the game.

Only one of the struggling clubs played and it turned out to be a bad day for Radford, visitors Southwell City taking all three points winning 3-2.

Gary Marshall and Arron Tennyson scoring for Radford. Ben Saunders (2) and Peter Campbell replying for Southwell.

Its was top versus bottom in the Vipond Fire Protection Premier Division with Thorne Colliery at home to AFC Barnsley, Thorne keen to avenge a devastating defeat at AFC earlier in the season, not only did they achieve that, they gave the league leaders a hard game and could take pride in an outstanding performance, in an excellent match played in heavy conditions.

AFC took the three points, with a goal in each half scored by Peter Stubley and Gavin Bassinder and probably deserved their victory, which gives them a nine point lead over second in the table Grimsby Borough.

Ollerton Town moved up from 7th to 4th place after a 1-0 home win over, the previous fourth placed club, Newark Town. Dean Hankey scoring the all important goal.

Bentley Colliery, followed up last weeks superb cup win over Supreme Division club Graham St Prims, by accounting for visitors Harworth C I, goals by Tony Betts, Lee Cook, Kyle Jones and James Naylor giving the Yorkshire club a 4-0 success.

Southwell City Reserves took advantage of the previous leaders, Holbrook Miners Welfare being one of the teams inactive, to go back to the top of the Lee's Reserves Premier Division, they won at home 3-1 against Carlton Town 'A'.
Ben Foster, Mark Foster and Mathew Miller scoring for Southwell. Cory Hamilton netting for Carlton.

In Lee's Reserves Division One, leaders Dunkirk won 1-0 away to Southwell City 'A' with a goal by Joel Wilson. They lead the table by seven points from second placed Nettleham Reserves who also won, 5-2 away at Newark Town Reserves.
